Trump Plans 1st Christian Inauguration In History

Donald Trump’s inauguration is shaping up to be very special.  And Christians everywhere will certainly applaud the latest announcement from the inauguration committee.

Trump just announced 6 religious figures will speak, among them Franklin Graham.

Cardinal Timothy Dolan will start the ceremony followed by with readings and invocations from pastor Paula White and Rev. Samuel Rodriguez of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference.

Graham was an early supporter of Trump and is widely credited with helping Trump win over some early skeptics of Trump’s campaign.

Speaking recently Graham said,

“I don’t have any scientific information, I don’t have a stack of emails to read to you. But I have an opinion. I believe it was God. God showed up. He answered the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people across this land who had been praying for this country.”

God showed up through the will of the American people and Trump was easily elected.

“Since the first inaugural ceremony, our leaders have paid tribute to the blessings of liberty that have been bestowed upon our country and its people,” Tom Barrack, the chairman of the Presidential Inaugural Committee, said in a statement. “I am pleased to announce that a diverse set of faith leaders will offer readings and prayers at the swearing-in of President-elect Trump and honor the vital role religious faith plays in our multicultural, vibrant nation.”

Rabbi Marvin Hier, head of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and first Rabbi in 30 years to be invited and Bishop Wayne T. Jackson, whose Detroit black church Trump visited this fall while campaigning round out the religious leaders attending for Trump.
