Bamba Mbaya, gospel group Kelele Takatifu’s latest hit is out. Produced by Producer of the Year at the 2016 Groove Awards, Saint P, the video of the song was shot in Eastlands.
The video of the new hit combines creativity and humour, but fans of the gospel duo will be forgiven for mistaking the song with the hit Ngori, which todate remains the group’s most popular song.
However, according to the group members – Silvanus Otieno aka Didi and James Muhia aka Moji Shortbabaa – Bamba Mbaya is a testimony of how exciting life in Christ is.
Kelele Takatifu is a musical duo centered on urban music having evolved from a love for hip hop, into diverse urban sounds. The name Kelele Takatifu loosely translates to Holy Noise which is our understanding of the command in the bible to make a holy and joyful noise unto God our creator.
Kelele Takatifu, comprises of founding members Moji Short Babaa alias James Muhia and Didi wa kelele takatifu alias Silvanus Otieno. They are both song writers, performers and music compilers; each having an interest in video production and photography.
Having attended the same high school and being good friends, James and Silvanus founded Kelele Takatifu in the year 2006. At first, the group was comprised of 6 members, however, James and Silvanus are the only members who remained and have grown the brand to great heights for the past 5 years of serious and official music writing compilation and performances.
Kelele Takatifu prides themselves in the God-given ability to write and compile music that not only refreshes the soul but also puts a smile on the listeners face. This is achieved through our so described acute lyricism with a touch of comedy and variety in sound as well as melody.
