“Blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green and they never stop producing fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NLT). As we release our cares to the Lord and as we continue to grow in trusting Him daily, we can expect results.
God’s Word is clear about what happens when we trust Him. When our roots go down deep, when we believe He is our hope, and when we put our confidence in His strength to carry us, He promises that we will remain fruitful and green — even when there is drought all around us. What a picture!
As we walk through our days with confident expectation in the Lord, we will feel His blessing and His calm in our hearts. Our circumstances may remain challenging, yet…
His strength will steady us,
His comfort will touch us,
His peace will wash over us,
His presence will encase us,
His wisdom will guide us,
And His love will surround us.
Feast your heart and mind on all He is today. Your roots will draw water from a deep place and you will be blessed and refreshed.
Father God, life is full of cares and around me. There is drought of many kinds. Thank You that You are all I need. Thank You that You will guide me and shepherd me through the maze of life as I trust You with my whole heart. Increase my faith today as I trust You in and with the cares of my life. (Name them specifically). I thank You and pray this in the strong name of Jesus. Amen.
