Being doctor, Dr. Gerry Landry, 55, knew he was having a heart attack one day at home when he felt overwhelming fatigue and crushing pain in his chest.
He immediately alerted his wife who called an ambulance to take him to the hospital where he worked, the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler, according to God Reports.
“All I remember during the ride to the hospital was calling out the name of Jesus, over and over again,” Landry recalled.
At the same Emergency Room where he had treated hundreds of patients, Landry found out that his inferior coronary artery had collapsed.
“The cold clamminess of my hands warned me of collapsing veins,” he said. “Yet, the sweet presence of Jesus continued to enfold me with His peace.”
Then his heart suddenly stopped beating.
