There was a married couple. They had an ordinary life. The man would come back from work and lay down on the sofa. He picked up the newspaper, and the wife would serve him dinner. She would always grumble and nag him about not doing much around the house and making little money.
The man got angry about it, but he said nothing and thought: “My wife is so untidy, bad looking and she dares to tell me how to live! When I married her she was different: she was beautiful, funny and nice!”
Once she asked him to take out the garbage, he got up and went outdoors. There he prayed to God, saying:
“Dear Lord, I have a pitiful life. Should I keep on living with such a nagger? What do you punish me for?”
And he heard a quiet voice saying:
“I can help you. I could turn your wife into a gorgeous woman. Everyone who sees her would be stunned. Let’s do this: I’ll make the change slowly, I’ll change her look and her behavior. However, you should also change your life if you wish to keep the new amazing wife by your side!”
The man thanked the Lord, and he was willing to change for the sake of the new beautiful wife. But he wanted to know when she would change, to
o.
The Lord said:
“I will perform a little change in her right now and will keep on changing her every day”.
The man got back home, sat down and turned on his TV. He picked up his paper, but could not read. He wanted to see how his wife changed. He went to the kitchen and started watching her. She stood there and washed the dishes. The wife turned around, and their eyes met. The man thought: there is no real change, yet.
The wife wondered why he is starring at her, and she fixed her hair and blushed. She asked:
“What’s going on? Why are you looking at me like this?”
The husband did not know what to say, so he offered to help her wash the dishes. She was amazed by such an offer, but said:
“I am finished here, thank you”.
The husband thought: Wow, she is changing! She even looks a little better! And he helped her to dry the dishes.
The next day he rushed home to see what else had happened to his wife. “What if she got really transformed!” In case she did he got her some flowers.
The man opened the door and stood there stunned. The wife met him dressed in her best outfit. She has done her hair and put on the earrings. She looked really good, so he just gave her the flowers. The woman was surprised, but her eyes shone with happiness. The man entered in and saw a table set for dinner. She put on the very best dishes for him and cooked his favorite food. They sat down to eat, but she got up and said:
“Sorry, honey, I forgot to turn on the TV, and I know you love watching it!”
He replied:
“I don’t want no TV or newspaper. There is nothing interesting there. I would like to ask you what plans you have for the weekend”.
He wanted to buy some tickets to the cinema and take her out for a dinner and maybe even give her a little shopping tour. He wanted to buy her a dress worthy of his amazing woman.
He thanked the Lord for such a wonderful change and thought: What if she gets even more beautiful and leaves me? I should ask her to give me a child to make her stay. The man got intimidated by the thought of asking this gorgeous lady for such a thing. He staggered:
“Well, I do not know, but… I wanted to say… Could you, could we have a baby, please?”
The wife came up to the man. Her eyes were full of love and happiness. They hugged and made love. Later on, the man thought: I have never had such a beautiful night before. Indeed, that woman got transformed by God, the Almighty! I am a happy man!
