Bishop Wanjiru has broken her silence after Sakaja quit the Nairobi governor race for the senatorial bid. She said that Team Nairobi, an outfit made up of MPs and Jubilee aspirants against the candidacy of Peter Kenneth was supportive of Sakaja’s move.
Reactions have been fast and furious following a surprise move by nominated MP Johnson Sakaja to drop his bid for the Nairobi governors seat.
Sakaka has presented his nomination papers for the Nairobi senatorial seat instead.
At the same time, Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru has also reportedly dropped out of the Nairobi race and will instead defend his parliamentary seat in August 8, 2017.
Now former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru who is also vying for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat on a Jubilee party ticket has reacted following Sakaja’s new political move.
