Young people are stepping up to the plate to represent their own in the upcoming elections.
One of Suzanne Silantoi Lengewa. She is competing against the big dog for the senator seat in Nairobi County.
“I’m 23-years old and I’m born-again. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree from Kenyatta University.
I think I’m a great choice because I love to serve. This is what leadership is all about or should be. I believe I’m representative of the common mwananchi. Further, I have good ideas to share with the people so that a larger number of our population may benefit, not just a select few. I’m talking about equality,” Suzanne said.
Her goal is to make Nairobians live well by creating jobs for the youth, upgrading their quality of life, encouraging then to live healthy and to attract investments.
She continued, “My worthy and more experienced competitors may have been contaminated with politicking, which may have derailed them from what the true calling of leadership is – to serve the people. I believe I’m representative of the common mwananchi. Further, I have good ideas to share with the people so that a larger number of our population may benefit, not just a select few. I’m talking about equality.”
