“My spiritual journey started a long time ago. I was ignoring it, I wanted to serve God but I didn’t know His plan was to serve in ministry. Before I left, I knew I was leaving to go and do ministry. There are things I used to do just kill me I would start judging myself why do I do that. I tried to stop but I wouldn’t be able to stop and I was like this has got to stop.”
Tero Mdee is sister to one of East Africa’s most celebrated artiste, Vanessa Mdee. Coming from a musical family, Tero had tried to do secular music.
“I sang ever since I was a kid. I tried to do secular music. It was not released, it was like a chorus.”
The mother of three (two daughters and a son) is currently ruling the airwaves with the song Taa Ya Miguu Yangu.
