While making a guest appearance at Trinity Broadcasting Network’s Praise the Lord program, the celebrated pastor revealed that he is in love with Mullen and plans to marry the mellow-voiced songstress.
“I have fallen in love with a young wonderful woman called Nicole C Mullen,” he revealed amidst applause from the congregants.
Rumors that McClurkin and Mullen were dating started circulating after the two attended this year’s Stellar Awards together. The gospel singers, however, never made an official announcement about their romance until Thursday.
The much celebrates singer expressed that the only thing that he lacked in life was marriage.
“Honestly, the only thing in my life that is missing is marriage. The only thing that is missing in my life that can cause real family, is marriage. Financially, I’m there. Spiritually, I’m almost there. Emotionally, I’m getting it together. But the only thing that’s missing out of everything that I’m doing locally, cross country and globally is that aspect that makes family, family — is that wife that would make man whole, that element that brings favor to man,” he said.
Hitherto, the 56-year-old revealed that even though he learnt of Mullen 15 years ago, they only started talking recently while on a flight to Ivory Coast.
Mullen was previously married to Contemporary Christian Music David Mullen, before they announced their divorce in 2014. McClurkin has never been married.
