Jimmy Gait has had a hard time shaking away the punchline he became when Kenyans want to make memes using his songs. The man who takes his craft seriously may have made a gross miscalculation when he released the song “Yesu ndie sponsor” that made Kenyans lose their focus and come out in droves trolling him on the interwebs.

But the man is now at peace and has said he has moved past it. He spoke to Mpasho exclusively and told us about his career, marriage, and regrets. He said:
“Sometimes you can’t control how people will react, but how you respond to that is what matters. I have learnt to stay positive. I can’t change the lines in the song cause it was in the past. I stay positive.”
