She convinced us to hand over all the money we had (about Sh80,000)to avoid being harassed by Ugandan police. She took off and we trekked for 17 hours from Uganda to Busia!
Did the incident change you?
I was left penniless after losing my entire savings and went back to my grandfather’s home because he was the only person who could take me in. A few days later, I got saved at an ACK crusade in Bumurimba. Only God could save me from my miserable life.
Have you ever been robbed since you received salvation?
Several times! During Easter this year, burglars broke into my house and stole my valuables.
How did you feel?
It’s so painful! I can’t imagine that’s the pain I inflicted on my victims. I once thought of taking someone to court but I had to forgive them because God forgave me.
Any word of encouragement?
God loves us no matter how bad we are. The Bible says that God purposely chose what the world considers nonsense in order to shame the wise.
He chose what the world considered weak in order to shame the powerful. Never allow your past to hold you back. God has a purpose for each and every person.
