Vihiga County ODM gubernatorial aspirant Dr Wilbur Ottichilo has vowed to beat incumbent governor Moses Akaranga in the August polls.
Ottichilo said he was confident he will send Akaranga packing, but promised not to send him off empty-handed.
Speaking to The Nairobian, he said he would give Akaranga a monthly stipend of Sh3,000 to take care of his bills and tithes.
“The governor is a reverend and is supposed to tithe and give offering in church,” said Dr Ottichilo
The Emuhaya MP asked the governor to stop cheating the electorate that he is defacing his campaign posters in Luanda, Kima, Esibuye and Matope shopping centre.
“It’s Akaranga who has pulled down my campaign posters and billboards in Mbale and Chavakali town.
I wonder why he is now maligning my name in funerals that I’m pulling down his campaign posters.
Ottichilo is a brand and the governor should prepare himself to go home. I promise to send Sh3,000 to his account every month,” he said.
He also warned MCAs against arm-twisting him with impeachment threats the way they have been dealing with Akaranga, in the hope of getting kickbacks to pass his Bills at the County Assembly.
“We shall all die and drown if MCAs don’t pass my budget,” he cautioned.
